Kimberlie Helton, a singer/songwriter born in the home of the blues, Memphis, Tenn., and her band, will be the featured performance for the second free concert in the Fulton Tourism Commission’s Summer Concert series, set for June 11 at 7:30 p.m. on the Pontotoc Park stage, in downtown Fulton.

The public is invited to attend the free concert, bring lawn chairs, blankets, food and beverages as well as coolers to Pontotoc Park for the event, as food vendors will not be on vendor row for this concert. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Helton enjoys entertaining tourists from around the world in Nashville on Broadway, on Beale Street in Memphis and has built a fan base throughout Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri and Kentucky.

She jokingly attributes her musical background to sharing a birthday with Elvis Presley, and brings crowds to their feet when she performs her spunky version of Jailhouse Rock, with a special take on Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin, Prince, and more.
.
The band has worked with W.S. Holland, the last standing member of the Johnny Cash band, and opened for many Grand Ole Opry legends, including Jim Ed Brown, Jeannie Seely, and T. Graham Brown, as well as Randy Houser, The Band Perry, Kellie Pickler, Little Texas and Joe Diffey.
