This position will be under the direction of the Fire Chief and City Manager. They will perform patrols and inspections. Enforce state municipal and county adopted codes, field inspections, enforce municipal code provisions, land use laws pertaining to public welfare, safety, public nuisance, property maintenance and structure design. Perform plan reviews and building inspections on new, remodeled or existing structures. Maintain and control the Flood Plain Management program for the city. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications and experience.

Training and Experience Requirements: Must be 18 years of age, must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, must have a valid driver’s license, must be able to type and use computers in a proficient manner, must have KY Building Inspector Level I and all other licenses or certification required to carry out job description.
